AVR is essential in areas where power fluctuations occur frequently. Our patented Bypass Design allows current to bypass the transformer and automatic voltage regulation AVR when utility power is normal, thus reducing energy consumption and associated costs.

Because utility power functions normally most of the time, the bypass design allows for substantial energy savings.

This technology also reduces heat generation, an important factor in decreasing operating costs. Automatic Voltage Regulation AVR in line interactive UPS systems stabilizes the incoming AC signal to maintain output power at a nominal volts by controlling high and low voltages without resorting to battery power. This significantly increases battery life and lessens the likelihood of data loss, memory freezes, and system crashes.

A line interactive UPS includes an AVR autotransformer a special type of transformer designed to switch between powered coils of wire in response to variances in utility power input, thereby increasing or decreasing the magnetic field and the resulting output voltage to connected equipment.

This type of UPS tolerates undervoltage brownouts and overvoltage surges without consuming backup battery power by automatically selecting different power taps on the AVR autotransformer.

During normal operation, incoming AC power bypasses the autotransformer where voltage highs and lows are controlled while also charging the battery. Power will continue to be supplied by the battery-inverter circuit until incoming voltage returns to the range manageable by the AVR. A transformer converts alternating current line voltage to a higher value or a lower value. Transformers rely upon electromagnetic induction, the process which occurs when the alternating current within a circuit generates current in a nearby circuit.

Transformers vary in design and size, as well as using different amounts of current. Small transformers plug into a wall outlet and create low direct current voltages which are used by common electronic devices. Transformer outlets are more widely spaced than other outlets to accommodate transformer block adapters or other adapters that are large in size.

Transformer outlets can be used to connect any appropriate device to a surge protector. Shutdown software supports most Windows systems. Shutdown software for Linux. Replacement Battery 1 x RB Product Overview A compact UPS with line interactive topology, the CyberPower CPAVR provides battery backup using simulated sine wave output and surge protection for desktop computers, workstations, networking devices, and home entertainment systems.

Battery Backup Supplies power long enough for equipment to properly shut down when utility power fails. Helps prevent loss of data and minimizes the component stress caused by a hard shutdown.

Surge Protection Diverts excess voltage away from sensitive electronic equipment during an AC power surge or power spike to prevent damage. Data Line Protection Prevents power surges that travel through telephone, coaxial, and Ethernet lines from causing damage to electronics.

Automatic Voltage Regulation AVR Provides clean, consistent AC power by automatically increasing boosting low voltage without using battery power when incoming utility power experiences minor fluctuations.Pros: Excellent battery life.

Lighter than I expected coming from APC units. Ethernet and coaxial surge protectors. Good length on the AC cable, plenty of length to get back to a plug. Ease of mind knowing that I have a solid sign wave going to my equipment and being protected from brownouts and other issues. Cons: This unit performed admirably, but as most battery backup units it suffers from a large footprint. Most do so this is really not a huge con, but is worth mentioning. It was one of the lightest backups of this size I have used before.

Judging from the weight alone I figured the battery was small and it would have horrible battery life. After a few hours of use I decided to pull the plug and see what it would do.

It lasted for about 16 min. I thought that was very respectable but I wanted to give the unit a few days to really get into a cycle. So after 5 days of charging and use, I pulled the plug again and timed it.

This time I got to a little over 25 min. Very respectable for a unit of this size and weight, I was very happy with those results. So W average load on my unit was able to run for over 25min. Yes, this product is discontinued, yes it only has 4 outlets that are battery powered most if not all backup units have battery outlets and surge only outletsyes there are others that might look better or have more features, but I find no faults in this unit in particular.

Should you decide to go with this unit I would have nothing bad to say about it. It performed wonderfully and is well priced. Provides telephone, coaxial, and Ethernet surge protection. Horizontal or vertical standing or mounting options. Has my Z97 system, display, and external HDs protected and on battery service. Cons: Only 4 of 8 outlets backed up by battery. Is heavy and bulky compared to a lot of newer, more expensive options available.

Would be much better with rotating outlets. Could use a longer power cable. Overall Review: This item has been discontinued by CyberPower. Whether it is due to the age of the product or flaws in it's design, I cannot find an answer. This has me worriedNo Power, in this case, can be defined as either the system not receiving any power from the power source or the power not being distributed in the system correctly.

It may be more complicated to determine what is causing the No Power issue, but it is easy to identify. You may notice the following symptoms if you are experiencing a No Power issue:. Before you begin a full investigation into the issue, turn off the power and check any of the following steps that are appropriate to your system, before attempting to restart your PC:. Check that all cables are secure in their connection power and data cables by re-plugging them, both externally and inside your system. Bypass any battery back-up or power strip and connect the power cable directly to the wall outlet.

If there were any hardware or software changes just prior to the issue, reverse those changes and test again. Remove any non-essential items connected to the system printers, flash drives, external hard drives, etc. Ensure that all removable media is removed from both the system and any printer left attached to the system disks, cell phones, SD cards. If you have an older system, please check the Voltage selector switch on the PSU hasn't changed to the wrong Voltage v - va system for use in the United States and Canada should be set to v.

Try a known good substitute and a known good AC adapter cable. If the fault is with the adapter please confirm the status of the adapter cable on the known good device. If your monitor is powering on and the power cable is appropriate to your PC, then swap the cable between your monitor and PC to rule out an issue with the cable or power socket.

Disconnect the cables from an internal component i. If it doesn't move on to the next component. Buddhika Mahesh. I guess its time to replace battery. If you've properly connected the battery from its shipping position then I would focus on your electrical outlet you are using.

Make sure the ground service for the building is properly connected and in good working order. I had the same issue! I called CyberPower for my VA, and they literally said "tough luck", they don't provide any type of warranty on the product.

So I guess now I know that the product lasts only 4 years, then the battery needs to be replaced. But CyberPower doesn't do direct sales, so pretty much SOL because they can't sell me a battery replacement. I'll just get a new unit. February 13 by Lauren LP. Les lesf. That's all there is to it! Can't guarantee that it'll work for your problem, but it worked for me, and I had a similar-sounding problem.

Simon King. I'm having a similar problem. I've replaced the battery, but the ups still turns off on its own. But it doesn't kick over to the backup battery. I have the same problem. This is the 2nd one in 2-weeks. Ravi Singh.

I had a same problem. I did an experiment. Now I'm using a voltage stabilizer with ups. It's also start beeping at high voltage as well at low voltage but works well within the said limit. I very much appreciate the work that they do to set it all up for us. The places we stayed were delightful. We felt we experienced a range of well chosen accommodations, with very friendly staff and excellent food. In particular, we really enjoyed Hotel 13. We could not have asked for a better travel agent. When my wife developed an emergency medical problem and we had to delay our trip by 3 days, Petra made all the adjustments without skipping a beat.

She secured refunds on everything that she could. The service provided by Nordic Visitor was excellent and we had one of the best and most enjoyable holidays we have ever had.

It was a pity that the offices have moved out of the centre of Reykjavik as we would have liked to have visited to thank Klara in person. The self-drive tour was wonderful for us. It meant that we did not have to plan ourselves, and were advised of the best things to see along the way. However we still had the freedom to chose other things. All the accommodation was fantastic. The tour was very well organised and everything went very smoothly.

The hire car was excellent (essentially brand new). All of the services provided were of a good standard. We thoroughly enjoyed our Scottish holiday, and many thanks to Christoph for his assistance. I am definitely letting my friends know how wonderful your company is and how it makes your stay in Iceland that much more enjoyable. This tour is a perfect tour for a 'taste' of Iceland. But it leaves us hungry for more.

Nordic Visitor made visiting Iceland very easy. Since some locations were in unpopulated areas we would have found it hard to choose where to stay. NV made the whole trip very stress-free. Margret was awesome to work with. Very responsive, very helpful even once we got there.

A trip we will never forget. The guest houses and hotels were awesome, and the activities were great. Rental car was awesome and it was overall a fantastic trip. On our trip, we met a few other Americans. The Colts' offense isn't near as potent without Andrew Luck as the quarterback.

Jacoby Brissett has managed to make Indy a decent offense, though. Frank Gore and Marlon Mack give the Colts a quality tandem of running backs, and T.

Hilton and Jack Doyle can pick up chunks of yardage in the passing game. However, wide receiver Donte Moncrief will likely be out for the this game, and the Colts' offensive line has been inconsistent this season. After holding Tom Brady without a touchdown in Week 13, the Bills' defense should be up to the task. While the Colts' front seven is a decent unit, their secondary is among the worst in the NFL.

Indianapolis ranks near the bottom of the league in most pass defense categories. Jabaal Sheard gives the Colts a solid pass rush off the edge, and Johnathan Hankins is a rock in the middle of their defensive line. If the Bills' best bet to move the football is through the air.
